Dinners are a set menu designed by our guest Chefs and excite flexible, adventurous eaters. If you or someone in your party has individual dietary needs, please email us at [email protected] upon purchasing tickets so that we can work to accommodate your request. While most dietary needs can be accommodated, please understand that heavy restrictions may be difficult to fulfill.

We proudly serve brew from our local craft breweries and certified organic/biodynamic wine. For the safety of our guests, we suggest that you either arrange for a designated driver within your party, or plan for a driving service to get you home safely.

This event is hosted on a working farm. Please dress according to the weather and wear proper footwear; we suggest flat shoes or boots.

Dinner Tickets include all non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, a farm tour, dinner, and all gratuities. They make a perfect anniversary gift, birthday present, romantic date, familly or group occasion or destination dinner.

CHEF JUSTIN BUDDHA LANGER

In the dish pit of Leonardos By-the Slice, at 13 Justin fell in love with the relationship between people and food: the sights, the sounds, the bond between people who work with fire and knives all day, people who create, cook, and laugh. Never an artist, he instead found himself in the flavors, textures, colors, and smells of the kitchen.

Justin is fluent in all classical cuisine as well as a heavy Southwestern American influence. He has honed his culinary skills in kitchens from the East to the West coast, delighting in the creation of healthy food that stirs the senses and excites the palate. Most recently coming back home to Gainesville after almost 16 years out West, moving back from San Francisco where was the Executive Chef and farmer at a Bay area top 100, 3.5-star restaurant in Pt. Reyes California. A dedicated proponent of farm-to-table or hyper-local cuisine, Justin uses the freshest local organically grown ingredients whenever possible, supporting local farms and the local economy.

Fast forward 27 years and he’s still in the kitchen!  After leaving Gainesville for college in 2000 and getting a double major in Northern Arizona, he then spent time opening restaurants for others. He finally found roots in Northern California. Now finally home again after almost 6 years he is hoping to open his first true dream restaurant, Table &Hearth Gainesville. Currently as Table & Hearth Catering, he works for a select clientele, and is in high demand for holiday events, dinner parties and celebrations of all kinds. Locally he has been blessed to head 9 Swallowtail farm to table dinners, and participate in 2 of the “too many chefs” dinners at Working food and work with other incredible chefs from our community.

Conservation Florida

This season we are thrilled to give back to our community directly by humbly donating 10% of ticket proceeds of each dinner to a local non-profit partner.  Each partner is facilitating real and inspiring change in our community through land stewardship and preservation, waterway protection and restoration, environmental and climate awareness, social justice and equity, and more.  We have an incredible amount of change-makers living amongst us all here in Alachua County.

For The Prairie dinner, we are honored to partner with Conservation Florida, whose mission is to protect Florida’s natural and agricultural landscapes for future generations.  Conservation Florida's goals are to protect the Florida Wildlife Corridor, support healthy populations of native plants and wildlife, provide places to recreate and connect with nature, contribute to a strong economy, support the success of working family farms and ranches, and replenish and safeguard Florida’s freshwater supply.  We are so very grateful for the invaluable work they continue to do throughout our community.
